Technician Machine Building
Machine Building | Hydraulics | New Construction
Are you a technician who enjoys building complete machines and has experience with hydraulic systems? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you.
At A.P. van den Berg, you will work on advanced cone penetration testing (CPT) systems used worldwide for geotechnical soil investigations. Based mainly in our modern workshop in Heerenveen, you will build, test, and improve machines that are fully developed in-house.
You start your day with a short team meeting in the workshop. Today, you are working on the assembly of a new CPT system that will soon be delivered to a customer overseas. Using technical drawings and work instructions, you assemble mechanical components and hydraulic systems. You connect components, install hydraulic lines, and ensure that everything functions perfectly.
Later in the day, you support a service case. A customer is experiencing a malfunction in a hydraulic system. You help diagnose the issue and contribute to finding an effective solution. Most service work is handled from our workshop, but occasionally you will visit customer sites or assist with commissioning and operator training.
At the end of the day, you can take pride in a tangible result: a CPT machine that is one step closer to delivery thanks to your skills and craftsmanship.
We will first introduce ourselves:
We are A.P. van den Berg, an innovative family business based in Heerenveen, the Netherlands, that designs, builds and supplies CPT equipment for onshore, offshore and nearshore soil investigation. Our customers are spread all over the world. We are continuously working on innovations in the field of CPT equipment. The equipment, instruments, software, etc. are completely developed and made in-house. Our company consists of about 70 employees and the company culture is characterized by: pride in your work, respect for each other, working together and continuing to learn and adapt. We are growing in various areas. We don’t do crazy things, but we are far from standing still. Not in our products, but not in our operations either.
