Many geotechnical companies operate large CPT machines, but these are not always suitable for every project. In locations with limited access or confined spaces, such as gardens, dikes, indoor environments, or construction sites, it can be difficult or impractical to deploy fully ballasted or large CPT systems. When soil conditions are soft or when only shallow Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) is required, a pushing force of 10 tons is often sufficient. In such situations, a compact, maneuverable, lightweight yet robust Mini CPT Crawler is the ideal solution. The Mini CPT Crawler has been specifically developed to meet these requirements.

The Mini CPT Crawler is a lightweight and compact CPT system designed for soil investigation in confined spaces. This advanced CPT unit is equipped with the reliable HYSON-LW pushing system, delivering a pushing force of 10 tons. With a compact design weighing less than 1,600 kg and a width of just 780 mm, the Mini CPT Crawler can easily pass through doorways and be transported in a van, making it ideal for narrow or hard-to-reach locations.

Specifications Mini CPT Crawler
The Mini CPT Crawler is equipped with the HYSON-LW pushing system, delivering a maximum pushing force of 100 kN and enabling CPTs to depths of approximately 15 to 20 meters. The CPT pusher is dismountable and can also be used as a stand-alone unit next to the CPT Crawler.
To reduce noise and exhaust emissions, the Mini CPT Crawler can be equipped with an electric power pack, making it suitable for use inside buildings. As standard, the Mini CPT Crawler is supplied with remote control, track widening system and extended levelling jacks.
The Mini CPT Crawler offers sufficient storage space for essential equipment such as cones, rods and soil anchors. A weather protected cabinet is available for housing the laptop and data logger.
