Lightweight CPT System
The HYSON-LW is a lightweight CPT system, weighing only 85 kg, specifically developed for in-situ geotechnical soil investigations in locations inaccessible to traditional CPT vehicles. Typical applications include basements, backyards, marshlands, and densely vegetated areas. With a pushing force of up to 10 tons, a stand-alone design and compact dimensions, the HYSON-LW is ideally suited for mobile Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) in hard-to-reach environments.
HYSON-LW: a lightweight and compact CPT system
The HYSON-LW was developed with four key criteria in mind: low weight, compact dimensions, ease of use, and reliability. The result is a robust CPT system with a minimal footprint of just 57 × 31 cm, making it easy to transport and operate. Thanks to its stand-alone operation and modular design, the HYSON-LW can be deployed in locations where space is limited or accessibility is challenging.

Robust anchors for reliable testing
To counter the reaction forces during testing, four rugged soil anchors with a length of 1,000 mm are supplied. This configuration allows CPT testing to depths of up to 30 metres, depending on soil conditions. The anchors can be installed manually or, for faster and easier operation, by using the HYGAND hydraulic anchor setting device, which is powered by the hydraulic power pack.
