ROSON

 ROSON 25/40 kN

ROSON 25/40 kN wireless seabed Cone Penetration Test system
The seabed Cone Penetration Testing system is deployed from a single steel wire. The batteries contain enough energy for ten Cone Penetration Tests of up to 5 metres. Contact from the surface with the seabed unit is by means of an acoustic data modem. Alternatively a bypass cable can be used. Basically the seabed unit can perform Cone Penetration Tests on its own: the operator sets the test parameters, sends them to the seabed unit, places the unit onto the seabed and the test will be performed automatically. The onboard data memory stores the data when the seabed unit makes contact with the surface unit again. Acoustic conditions permitting, the test can be followed online.

You can read more about the 25/40 kN ROSON in Leaflet S15.

 Umbilical cable ROSON

ROSON 25/40 kN single wire system

This easy-to-operate seabed Cone Penetration Test system is specially designed for cable and pipeline route survey. The seabed unit typically penetrates 3 or 5 metres into the seabed and has a seabed load of 5.7 kPa.

The seabed unit is deployed from a special umbilical cable. A special winch stores 1800 metres of umbilical cable and is used for auxiliary functions required by the seabed unit. The surface control unit completes the system.

You can read more about the umbilical cable in Leaflet S18.

 ROSON 75/100 kN

ROSON 75/100 kN seabed Cone Penetration Test system

The ROSON 75/100 kN works in water depths of up to 1500 metres. The easy-to-run ROSON system is lifted with a vessel's lifting wire while a umbilical cable takes care of the electrical power and signal transport.
