Vane tester

Stand-alone

The vane tester is provided with a vane and accessories for measuring the shear strength in soil layers. The vane tester is mounted in a frame with drive engine in order to perform vane tests in pre-drilled holes. The torque sensor is located directly behind the vane, thus minimizing the influence of friction forces and possible other forces on the measuring results. This results in test data with maximum accuracy.

The rotation speed and the shear strength are registered by means of a GologVANE data acquisition system and presented on screen through GOnsite! software. 

Integrated in Cone Penetration Testing unit

The vane testere can be integrated in a standard Cone Penetration Testing unit like the HYSON 200 kN or COSON 200 kN. This way vane tests can be performed at several different depths without the need of pre-drilling, resulting in a considerable production increase.
